Join Hopsewee for the Solar Event of a Lifetime, August 21, 2017 10:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m


Watch and celebrate the total eclipse of the sun at historic and scenic Hopsewee Plantation, conveniently located on Highway 17 just 12 miles south of Georgetown, SC, and just about 10 miles from the center of the path of totality! We'll have dancing, live music and a live feed from NASA, plus drinks, food, classes and tours!


Tickets (including eclipse glasses) are $20 in advance and $25 at door.

Total eclipse begins 2:46 p.m. and ends 2:47 p.m.

Partial eclipse begins 1:17 p.m. and ends 4:09 p.m. Grounds close 5:00 p.m.

Hopsewee is located on US 17 near Georgetown, SC. We are about 12 miles south of Georgetown and 10 miles north of McClellanville. The best GPS address to use is 494 Hopsewee Road, Georgetown, SC 29440. Turn right onto Crow Hill Road and stay on the paved road that parallels US 17 about 500 feet, then straight onto the dirt road about 1000 feet, then left for parking. Check in with the staff in the tea room (red roof) upon arrival.


All guest will receive wrists bands to confirm admission fee paid. If you would like to make a sweetgrass basket, or tour the house, please purchase these activities after your arrival. Food and drink can be purchased throughout the day.
