We also ask that all guests turn off all cameras, cell phones and electronic devices while inside the house. We thank you for helping us to preserve history and respect the privacy of the owners. The Hopsewee house tour includes seven steps for entry to the house and a full flight of stairs inside for the upstairs part of the tour. The Gullah Geechee presentation takes place at the slave cabin dwelling, which has three entrance steps. All stairs have a handrail. If you are unable to navigate these, please let us know so we may try to accommodate you.
Walking assistance devices are welcome during your house tour. Some larger devices may not fit through some doorways inside the historic home. To check with us ahead of time, call (843) 546-7891 or send us an email.
If you need accessible parking, please call (843) 546-7891 when you arrive and we will assist you.
